ORCHESTRA HANDBOOK

COMMUNICATION
PARENT / STUDENT SQUARE:
All parent and student communication will either go directly through Parent / Student Square per the Hamilton Southeastern School District guidelines and policies. Students and parents are also welcome to email the directors through their school email. Families can expect regular communication through Parent Square including monthly newsletters and regular updates.
CANVAS and SKYWARD
Daily / weekly announcements and assignments will be posted in Canvas Modules. Grade updates will be made weekly as needed from Canvas to Skyward.

PERFORMANCE ATTIRE
Please take a moment to review the information below regarding Performance Attire. The majority of our performances will require
"Semi-Formal Attire" for Camerata and Philharmonic and "Formal Attire" for Serenata and Symphony. There may be opportunities for "Informal Performance Attire" but those are rare, if at all.
Announcements are sent out to families prior to each performance and in the announcement, we will state what kind of performance attire is requested for that specific performance. Please don't hesitate to reach out should you have any questions or concerns regarding attire. More information can be found in the 25-26 Uniform Policy (also available below).
INFORMAL PERFORMANCE DRESS
SEMI-FORMAL PERFORMANCE DRESS: CAMERATA & PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRAS
FORMAL PERFORMANCE DRESS: SERENATA & SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAS

INFORMAL PERFORMANCE DRESS
- Informal Performance Dress may include jeans and Orchestra spirit wear and is usually reserved for a Pop-style Concert or casual performance off site.
- More specific details will be given near the performance date when the performance announcement is sent home to families.
SEMI-FORMAL PERFORMANCE DRESS: CAMERATA & PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRAS
- Semi-Formal Performance Dress will include articles of clothing that are all black. Please review the Southeastern Orchestras Uniform Policy for specific dress requirements.
FORMAL PERFORMANCE DRESS: SERENATA & SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAS
- Serenata and Symphony Orchestra students are required to purchase their "Formal Performance Dress" from the school. Students are sized during the school day and a confirmation email is sent home to families before orders are placed. Once the order comes in, uniforms are sent home with students including an invoice. We understand that everyone is different and wanted to allow some variety in our attire to fit the needs and comfort of our diverse population of students. Please see options below under "PERFORMANCE ATTIRE REQUIREMENTS - SERENATA & SYMPHONY"
